There are examples of effective graphic design that we relate to almost immediately, usually without even realising. But when these simple but distinctive messages are not quite what we expect, it can throw up a whole load of doubt. A light-hearted and frivolous take on these authoritative images means that sometimes things are not always as they seem and that, maybe, there is more than one way of looking at things, whatever the authoritarians may say.
